- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5*SPOILER ALERT *I normally can’t handle reading books or watching movies that have any crimes against kids, but I couldn’t put this down. I had to know how it ended. The narrator on audio is amazing!!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5From the Book:
A mysterious suicide and a series of abductions draw Patrick into a web of intrigue involving an international conspiracy where no one is who they appear to be and the stakes have never been higher. Soon, Patrick discovers that the secret to stopping the Piper’s current crime spree lies in unlocking answers from an eight-year-old cold case—and the only way to do that is by entering the terrifying world of the conspirators himself.
My Thoughts:
I've read all the Patrick Bower's File books and found them more than enjoyable. There is always breathless excitement and endings that wrap everything up perfectly but leaves the story open for the next book. This one confused me a little as to it's exact place in the series. If it's indeed a part of the series... at least one of the people that figures prominently is dead in the other eight books. So...is this really intended to be #1 instead of #9?
Be Aware...the book deals with a horrible, extremely distasteful subject...child pornography. Steven James does a great job of helping to make the reader aware of how child predators are allowed to function so successfully in our society and the results of their lure to the internet. He has also dedicated this book to The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. As with the other eight books the ending reads as if there is going to be another book that feeds off of this one. I'll be looking forward to it.
