About this audiobook

I died for Hostess cupcakes.

I know. Tragic, right? Even worse, after I came back I still didn't get any cupcakes.

What I did get, however, is a six-foot-something reaper with eyes like blue fire to guide me into the world of the supernatural. Which, as it turned out, wasn't quite like the fairy tales little girls are told growing up.

Not only is magic real, more importantly, so are monsters. And apparently, I'm one of them.

But I'm getting ahead of myself here. You see, four years ago I left my hometown and swore to never come back.

Now my brother is dead and I have no choice but to go searching for answers. Except finding them isn't easy when the secret society he belonged to is covering it up. I gotta find out who killed him while watching my own back, because if I'm not careful I might be next-and this time, there's no do over. Luckily for me, Mr. Single and Hot as F*ck is determined to help me keep my ass alive.

I'm a lucky, lucky girl. Some days.

Contains mature themes.

What our readers think

Readers find this title to be a good find if you like fast-paced books with a spunky female lead. The lead character is funny, quirky, and sassy, which many readers love. However, some find the comedy to be a bit forced and couldn't get invested in the lead due to her selfish and childish behavior. Overall, the book brings laughter and enjoyment with its humor and cursing, making it a refreshing and light read.

Couldn't get invested in the lead. She was selfish and childish so I had a hard time caring about her.

I LOVE Salem! She is a badass, she's sassy, fun and cute! There is a lot of cursing in the book but it made me laugh every time. I red book one and book two. Can't wait to start the third one!

Quirky and funny. Excellent pick-me-up light listen. Sometimes the comedy is a bit forced. But it's a good find if you like fast-paced books with a spunky female lead.

I like the lead, she's funny and just her. Yes she's friction but her confidence in herself is refreshing. Need more hanky panky, but it's book 1, maybe book 2 and 3 will bring some smurt to the story
