Sean Parnell is a former U.S. Army airborne ranger who served in the legendary 10th Mountain Division for six years, retiring as a captain. He received two Bronze Stars (one for valor) and the Purple Heart. He is a passionate supporter of America's military and is currently serving as an ambassador for the Boot Campaign, a national veteran's charity. He lives with his three children in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

I always have fun in Parnell’s World, inhabited by dangerously competent & irascible men who live in bloody & violent landscapes, love their country, do their duty and exercise a code that they consider honourable, doing bad things to bad people. Where the women they bed are strong, limber, curvaceous Lara Croft/Charlize Theron/Scarlett Johansson beauties who have your six in a fix.

4th (and in my opinion) best of the epic Eric Steele series of novels, with a bit more time spent on characterisation in this one.

Is this really the final instalment? Sean, say it ain’t so!
