About this audiobook
Tim was always a planner. The plan was to get into college, graduate, and find a well-paying job.
That plan was coming together nicely until he saw a presentation to get paid to play The Etheric Coast. At his graduation ceremony.
After watching the company's employee recruitment video, Big Richie's words had a whole new meaning. He could spend his life going from a cubicle at work to a one-bedroom apartment and back again . . . Or he could take a leap of faith by entering a virtual world of unlimited possibilities. And get paid.
Now he just has to figure out how to get the job of his dreams, help his parents financially, and catch the attention of the girl of his dreams.
It was time for him to catch his wave. Tim sure hoped it didn't kill him first.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. Some enjoy the fun and engaging aspects of the book, while others find it annoying and filled with unnecessary profanity. The main character is criticized for being too perfect and not facing real challenges. However, there are positive reviews that praise the humor, action, and enjoyable characters. Overall, readers have different opinions about this book, but it offers a mix of entertainment and flaws.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It seems like almost every character has the same personality and there is too much unnecessary profanity. The brief sections where there isn't profanity every second word and the characters actually have a personality other than that of a sarcastic self-important teen-ager are pretty good but are few and far between.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Definitely five this one a go! It’s got humour, action and fun characters
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The MC is a Mary Sue. Nothing is difficult, there's no real challenges, and the writers put in a number of filler content which is just preachy exposition. What's bad, is I agree with most of it, but the amount of filler is just not necessary for the book.
Like, I am as liberal as anyone I know, but this just comes off as super-preachy.
As much as he talks about how much hard work someone should have to do, he sure keeps getting things handed to him on a silver platter. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Okayish book, which lets you dig into the new world nicely. Somehow annoying since authors start to preach their life / game lore and main character gets delivered every on a golden plate. Don’t like this “easy” stories, where they jump from one fight to the other and the difference at the end is only the monsters name and how cool they are in taking the evil down.
You may pick another good cool LitRPG stories available, since part two is nothing bad bad spent time and latest there you will not continue these books. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5lots of fun and catches the essence of how things go in a game with enough life to resonate
