About this audiobook
#1 New York Times bestseller! Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera reunite to continue the story of Arthur and Ben, the boys readers first fell for in the bestselling rom-com What If It’s Us.
Ben survived freshman year of college, but he’s feeling more stuck than ever. His classes are a slog, his part-time job working with his father is even worse, and his best friend Dylan’s been acting weird for weeks. Ben’s only real bright spot is his writing partner Mario, who’s been giving him a lot of Spanish lessons and even more kisses. Mario’s big Hollywood dreams make Ben start to dream bigger—and the choices he makes now could be the key to reshaping his future. So why can’t he stop thinking about a certain boy from his past?
Arthur is back in New York City for the first time in two years, ready to take the theater world by a storm as the world’s best . . . intern to the assistant of an off-off-Broadway director. Of course, it sucks to be spending the summer apart from his sweet, reliable boyfriend, Mikey, but he knows their relationship is strong enough to weather the distance. Which is why it’s no big deal when his ex-boyfriend Ben stumbles back into the picture. And it’s definitely fine that Ben’s blissfully happy with some mystery boy. First loves are special, but it’s way too late for what-ifs. Right?
Even as the boys try to shake off the past, they keep running into each other in the present. Is this the universe trying to tell them there’s a do-over in their future?
Here's to Us is sure to be welcomed by fans old and new of these authors and their previous collaboration, What If It's Us. Critically acclaimed and bestselling authors Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera combine their talents in these smart, funny, heartfelt novels about two very different boys who can’t decide if the universe is pushing them together—or pulling them apart.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a beautiful love story with compelling characters and insightful writing. While some reviewers found the beginning slow and the ending fast, overall, the book is worth every minute. The story leaves readers feeling warm with happiness and grateful for the authors. The audio version is also highly praised. This LGBT romance deserves to be made into movies.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was a great audio book with lovley characters. I wished we would have seen more of Mikey, who was my favourite side character. Also I didn't know this book was a sequel, but that seems to happen to me regularly, so it's not a bug bummer :)
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A beautiful love story that deserves to be told and listened to
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5So tender and simple, yet still magical. It left me feeling warm with happiness for the characters and grateful for the authors who gave them all they deserved.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5What if it’s us is such a beautiful story but here’s to us is super wonderful. It teaches me a lot about a lot of things. Brilliant!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love love so much . This book even though fantasy romance, gave me a bit of hope that what if’s can be your forever , just never give up on the love . Make me feel like I’m in this situation ? I even cried a bit .
Becky I loved this series. Thank you for this .
Also my first time reviewing a book ? - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My god, They got MARRIED!!!! I have never been happier in my entire life. Also, I'm pretty sure my family is scared of me because of all of my squeals.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It made my heart beat up with pure joy ???
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Beautiful writing. Beautiful and compelling characters. Insightful and with just the right amount of angst to keep you following along. Narrated by the perfect voice actors, this sequel is as endearing as the first.
However, I’m only able to give it three stars because although I’ve tried so hard, I can’t bring myself to believe the probability of the ending, but maybe thats because it’s just not for me - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A beautiful love story. A great sequel to Becky Albertally and Adam Silvera's What if it us. Check them out!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The epilogue we hoped for turned into a novel… what happens next?
Arthur and Ben are both in NY. Is this a second chance at friendship, love, or both? This book is full of assumptions and mixed messages. More importantly, it’s also about fresh starts, incredible friendships, and all the love that brings.
It’s simply beautiful. With humor, tears, and heart, this book is… everything.
p.s. The audio is amazing. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Best LGBT romance story ever! They need to make these into movies
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved the book, but JESUS did the beginning of the epilogue scare me half to death ???
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Es que no solo es un libro clásico de romance gay. Es un abrazo a tu corazón LGBT
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The beginning was a little rough, mainly because Mikey and (even more so) Mario felt a little flat as characters. At the end of the book I can appreciate how that added to the delivery of the story because it shows how feelings affect the detail someone registers about someone else. It did end up feeling like the tempo of the book was a little too slow in the beginning and a little too fast at the end but it's been worth every minute.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5It was good. I liked it a lot and the side character Dylan honestly was my favorite. But here’s the thing, there is a where you are fine with how ever it ends because you don’t hate the characters. But the last bit of past before the choice wasn’t needed.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was a enjoyable ok listening. The narrators' were very good and uplifted the story. Especially the one that narrated Arthur's part. Too much drama for no reason in some cases. I found the last chapters kind of sappy and mellow.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Its such a great ending to the series. I loved the cast of characters and I am so glad so many got a happy ending
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just finished the audio book (brilliantly produced). Tears on my cheeks, euphoria that love takes all forms, and cannot wait until these books make their way to the screen.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Beautiful story, the final third of the book was the highlight. The first two sections felt long and drawn out. The writing is excellent and it felt like catching up with friends.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was sweet and well written, but I was a little disappointed at the one-true-love wrap up of the story. I liked how the previous book in the series, contravening other romance novels, pretty realistically implied that people can have multiple romantic relationships and be in love more than once in their lives. This one really took that back! But it was a lovely romance, anyway.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The first book dealt with real life problems and real-life feelings of these young boys. This book welcomes back all the characters, and they have matured by 2 years. It’s refreshing to see where their journeys went and how they're back together in New York. But everything stops there. They must work through their current circumstances and feelings to see where their own futures go, and if those futures include each other. The end was perfect. A beautiful love story.
