About this audiobook
Nicki Koziarz knows what it's like to whisper those words to God. She understands what it feels like to be flooded by hopelessness and hard situations, wondering if it will ever stop.
Hard circumstances often stir something so destructive in a soul: doubt.
Through the painful loss of her mom to a brain tumor and her brother to suicide, she has learned that if doubt is left undealt with, it can cause the presence of unbelief to flood our lives-to the point that faith becomes unrecognizable. In the midst of her pain, Nicki looked through the lens of the biblical account of Noah and discovered five decisions a person can make to help deflect the destruction of doubt.
When you are wrestling with doubt and fighting back hopelessness, Flooded will help you: quiet the fear that God won't come through by discovering the difference between wishful thinking and biblical hope; resist the urge to control the uncontrollable by finding peace in between the problem and the promise; and find the familiar faithfulness of God in His Word when it feels like nothing is normal and everything is falling apart.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Like other books I have read by Nicki Koziarz, Flooded is down to earth, challenging, and enlightening all wrapped up in one. In this book, the author offers transparency to her readers about her own struggles and challenges in life. She includes stories that range from humorous to heartbreaking to emphasize the points she is trying to make. I really enjoyed her use of the account of Noah in the Bible to offer real life advice on wrestling with doubt in our own lives. It was also apparent that she thoroughly researched the content for her book.I was given a copy of this book by the author and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Oh wow! This book came into my life at just the right time! Life’s circumstances and suffering had me slip into a spiritual low. My vibrant strong faith has faltered. I found myself doubting God helping me in areas of my life. This made my suffering greater and I was ashamed of my spiritual walk. The “unknowns” in my life had not only “flooded” me but almost washed me away. What a blessing this book is! I know the stories in the Bible are examples to us in how to deal with trial, but I never ever thought of looking at Noah’s experiences in that way! The book is divided into 5 decisions you need to make when faced with a crisis to be a conqueror.Ms. Koziar’s writing style is one that makes you feel she is writing directly to you, very personable. The Lord has brought me through many hard things in my life, but I realized that instead of it being a strengthening lesson, there has been some remaining doubt for what is to come. I realized doubt is sin, because I am not trusting God can take care of me. She made me dig deep and look at what was really there in my heart and mind. The author does it in such a way that you are guided into it and inspired, not beaten over the head and made to feel guilty. The words jumped off the page at me, requiring a highlighter, so inspiring! Another part I liked about the books is that she gives you “handles” to your wheelbarrow. She doesn’t just point out the issues but presents ways to overcome them. You aren’t left hanging. Well written and easy to read but you will want to really study it! I received this book from Baker Publishing Chosen Books in exchange for an honest review. The opinions stated are my own.
