About this audiobook
Powerful yet concise, Leaders Who Last instructs, warns, inspires, and challenges leaders to a new way to live, lead, and make a lasting difference in the lives of others. If the Christian life is like a race, we must admit that too many Christian leaders stumble, burn out, or veer off the track. Clearly it is not Automatic that a leader will finish well. Based on Dave Kraft's thirty-five years of leading, teaching leadership, and coaching dozens of Christian leaders, Leaders Who Last moves through three stages of leadership: foundations, formation, and fruitfulness. Concise, anecdotal, and packed with wisdom, this book will help you aim your ambitions, refine your character, and position yourself to be an effective leader who endures. Kraft's brief, down-to-earth guide to Christian leadership will inspire readers to finish the race well--to hit the tape in full stride with an energetic burst of speed and receive their commendation from God.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was a good book. Great on practical discipleship and leading. It serves as a general summary of most other leadership books one will encounter. The author mixes in many personal accounts and general maxims and stories which highlight the role of leadership. This was at times fascinating, entertaining, and also predictable. Nonetheless, a good quick read for any leader, especially a leader in ministry. I recommend it.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Dave Kraft obviously has a passion for leadership and the desire to see passionate leaders developed within the church. I cringe at his obvious assumption that the pastor is (and ought to be) the main leader within the local church body. I believe that pastors can be leaders, but I think that pastors can also be teachers, preachers, counselors, etc... What I take away from this book is the truth that what the church needs most is to make disciples, followers of Christ, who will then turn around and make more disciples. In this way we see that our primary goal is the development of leaders, not only followers. This responsibility does not lie only on the pastor, but on the congregation as a whole. And so I see this not only being a book for full-time pastoral staff, I believe that this is a book that any church leader, any Christian, can read and learn from.
