Meet Kitty Collins.
FRIEND. LOVER. KILLER.
He was following me. That guy from the nightclub who wouldn’t leave me alone.
I hadn’t intended to kill him of course. But I wasn’t displeased when I did and, despite the mess I made, I appeared to get away with it.
That’s where my addiction started…
I’ve got a taste for revenge and quite frankly, I’m killing it.
A deliciously dark, hilariously twisted story about friendship, love, and murder. Fans of My Sister the Serial Killer, How to Kill Your Family and Killing Eve will love this wickedly clever novel!
Don't miss Katy Brent's new wickedly witty novel, The Murder After the Night Before, available now!

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a mix of enjoyment and disappointment. The writing is good, but the story is grim and the main character is irritating and problematic. The book addresses the important issue of violence against women, but some readers found it inconvenient to switch books and continued reading despite their dissatisfaction. Overall, the book is worth reading, but it may not be for everyone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Dark and delightful! Not quite funny but amusing in its fury. Trigger warning for many mentions of sexual violence but would still recommend.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Started so well, I really enjoyed the radicality and dark sense of humour - unfortunately to finish with an annoying and unbelievable ending. The character lost me and my sympathy during the last part of the story. Good reading though!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Fun audiobook specially if you are vegan! *wink* will definitely read more from the author.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Could not put this book down! You meets MiC
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Is anybody else facing an issue with the audiobook it’s showing me previews and not the full audio!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Kitty is an upper middle-class Londoner with a lot of money, a lot of righteous anger, and a lot of free time.
So it's only natural that her favorite hobby is murder.
Good enough writing, but a grim story overall.
Overly privileged girl who can't see that she is so entitled, she even thinks other people's lives are hers.
I like the overall weight it gives to the ever current crisis of violence against women, but Kitty was far too irritating and problematic herself to be a vigilante I could get behind, even imaginarily.
To be honest I think I would have DNF'd it if I wasn't listening to the audiobook while doing a big load of housework. It felt more inconvenient to switch books than to just finish this one once I had started.
Was it funny at times? Yes. But was it also disturbing and weirdly normalising of violent and murderous behaviour based on personal assumptions about someone's character? Also yes.
Not recommended.
