Non communication is the primary source of conflict, and despite the characters having valid reasoning it was frustrating. The mc was supposedly taught to fight very well and is by all means a very strong and capable fighter but literally every time she was faced with someone with malicious intentions she froze up entirely. Also an understandable reaction but with all the set up don’t by the author to make sure we as an audience know that she is strong and fast it feels like by the second or third attack she might be able to put up a bit more of fight

I haven't finished the book. All the cliché there can be it's there. Quite boring. The female narrator didn't help. Very annoying over dramatic melancholic tone.

Great story, great female narrator, male narration was exceptionally difficult to overlook. So monotone. But great story if you can get past the narration.
