About this audiobook
We are not alone. Millions of people are confronting aliens that authorities say do not exist.
Meet the Three Thieves, a group of Grays assigned to duty in a small Kentucky town. They have been preparing a child for generations. Innocent Conner Callaghan will face the ultimate terror as he struggles to understand who he has been bred to be, and what he must do to save humanity. Colonel Michael Morax strives to keep the secret of the Grays from the public for reasons so sinister, yet believable, that they read like truth. And Lauren Glass, government "empath" to the last surviving captive Gray, known only as B for Bob, has a unique ability to communicate with this captive Gray. But when B for Bob suddenly escapes the highly secure underground Air Force facility that he's been captive in for years, a frantic race begins, as the government must outmaneuver the Grays to keep the secret of their presence intact.
The Grays is a mind-bending journey behind the curtain of secrecy that surrounds the subject of aliens, written by the field's great master, Whitley Strieber. If you've never so much as thought about the subject before, this book will make you think deeply, not only about the mystery of who the Grays are, but who exactly we are.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5As a book, I give it a 3 star review. As a fan if the grey aliens, its 5 stars. It's exactly the kind of chilling horror,at least at the beginning, that I look for in these types of books. Grounded in reality, the greys, and a cast of interesting characters. The writing leaves a bit to be desired, but its more than compensated for in story telling. I wish I could find another like this.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I love the complexity and originality of the plot. The tech was fairly believable, too. All in all,a gripping and satisfying read!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5The book started out pretty good and about half way through the pace went racing to the finish. The timing of everything was no very clear and certain characters seem to get lost and pop back up and I'd forget who they were. It was a quick and easy read and it was ok but not anything great. Overall grade - C-
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The book was an OK read, but I was left wanting more. Hopefully 2012 will resolve things.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The content of this book was quite interesting, but the book still seemed to act like a double dose of Tylenol PM. I think this is largely due to the fact that this novel is very poorly written. The structure of the book is just awful.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5In an attempt to cover everything, Strieber manages to only skim many of the issues and themes of the novel. Characters emotions are unrealistic; there seems to be no degrees of emotions, i.e., characters are either extremely happy or extremely angry or extremely frightened. This occurs even before the mounting tension of the plot.Settings would change mid-paragraph without informing the reader, leading to confusion during action sequences.Overall, this book should have been longer to allow for more exploration, and an editor should have been a little more demanding of the author. This is not one of Strieber's better works.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was prepared to not like this, but ended up reading it in less than 48 hours. It turned out to be a page turner...very believable (for those of us willing to suspend our disbelief just a bit) Fans of Communion will not be disappointed. I was a little let down by the ending, and it seems to have been set up for a sequel...lots of dangling ends.
