About this audiobook

INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR

“Take my word for it, James Reece is one rowdy motherf***er. Get ready!” —Chris Pratt, star of the #1 Amazon Prime series The Terminal List

This fourth thriller in the Terminal List series “should go down as one of the best books in the genre, period” (The Real Book Spy) as it follows former Navy SEAL James Reece embarking on a top-secret CIA mission of retribution twenty years.

It’s been twenty years since September 11. Two decades since the United States was attacked on home soil and embarked on twenty years of war. The enemy has been patient, learning, and adapting. And the enemy is ready to strike again.

A new president offers hope to a country weary of conflict. He’s a young, popular, self-made visionary…but he’s also a man with a secret.

Halfway across the globe a regional superpower struggles with sanctions imposed by the United States and her European allies, a country whose ancient religion spawned a group of ruthless assassins. Faced with internal dissent and extrajudicial targeted killings by the United States and Israel, the Supreme Leader puts a plan in motion to defeat the most powerful nation on earth.

Meanwhile, a young PhD student has gained access to a bioweapon thought to be confined to a classified military laboratory known only to a select number of officials. A second-generation agent, he has been assigned a mission that will bring his adopted homeland to its knees.

With Jack Carr’s “absolutely intense” (Chuck Norris) writing and “gripping authenticity” (The Real Book Spy), The Devil’s Hand is “another intense international thriller” (AARP The Magazine) that will leave you gasping for breath.

This is so freaking frightening! If only a part of this comes true then we as a country better prepare for hell on earth. We won’t know whom to trust.

Jack Carr is one of the best thriller writers in the business. If you are a fan of Stephen Hunter or Vince Flynn then you will thoroughly enjoy his work. Ray Porter is a fantastic narrator. He brings these books to life. Don’t listen to or read this one first though. These books need to be read on order, so go find The Terminal List and get after it.

This author is very talented. I can’t stop reading/ listening. I use to be a James Patterson fan but Jack Carr is my new fav. Thanks to our Military and their families for their sacrifice. Fighting for our safety and freedom. Before everyone gets uncomfortable, I know this is fiction but it is a reminder of what is done behind the scenes that most Americans have no clue.

I read the first two books and just finish this one. It was a little on the long-winded side, but after about 30 chapters it starts to get interesting. However, there was a BIg, BIg mistake made by the author. We have been led to believe that James is a man who has suffered at the hands of his enemies. The Author reminds us frequently that he is the target of many who want him dead. We are told he is constantly examining his environment for possible danger and is always on alert before doing anything, yet he gets up and gets into a vehicle that should have been tesded every single day for tracking devices, which "the pro" did not do. That resulted in the unsuccessful attempt to assassinate. Big mistake for a real seal.

This was a very well paced, fun book. The research seemed to be really good and the "truth mixed with fiction" was really interesting. I really enjoyed it and look forward to future books from this author.
