About this audiobook
Laura has returned to work at Morris and Wood after her maternity leave, only to discover that the woman she brought in to cover for her isn’t going anywhere. Despite her close relationship with the agency’s powerful CEO, she feels sidelined—and outmaneuvered—as she struggles to balance the demands of work and motherhood.
Mia was only supposed to be a temporary hire at Morris and Wood, but she’s managed to make herself indispensable to everyone. Everyone, that is, except Laura. If people only knew why she was so desperate to keep her job, they might not want her to stay.
Janie gave up everything to support her husband and the successful agency he runs. But she has her own dark secret to protect…and will go to any lengths to keep it safe.
With her signature “chilling, captivating” (Megan Miranda, New York Times bestselling author) prose, Heidi Perks weaves another bone-chilling and unputdownable thriller in the vein of Watching You and The Couple Next Door.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Second book I’ve read by this author. It’s a twisty, novel with an unexpected ending, which I really enjoyed! The beginning was a little slow and I did find myself thinking maybe I wouldn’t like it, but it picked up and I couldn’t stop. Great book.

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5What kind of half explained ending was that?! Come on! Talk about not explaining who did what and why. And the reasons for the whining throughout the book. These authors are killing me stretching stories out to fill up a book and then not tying together at the end. 10hrs wasted!

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Once I started the book I really liked the direction it started off in, but it completely de-railed for me quite quickly. The characters were all one tone which is not ideal when you have three points of view. And on top of that some side characters who were quite important to the story had no elaboration and almost felt like an after thought, they weren’t given much importance or depth despite being pretty vital to the story. The story telling and ‘mystery’ was delivered shortly and it really took away from any suspense this novel was trying to give. Only reason I didn’t give it 1 star was because I got too far in to be able to shut it off, I decided to see it through till the end in hopes that it would be worth it. Sadly it was not for me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was a great book. Loved all of the characters n this story.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great plot. I really enjoyed this book. Great listen to find
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Awesome read! Enjoyed it! The narrators brought the story to life. Excellent pace and would read again! However, I don’t like Nate!! The author frames him as the caring husband but he is definitely not! What do you think?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I wish I could wipe my memory just to experience this book again for the first time. What a journey. Predictable at times but compelling. The character development was divine. I drove around at times just to have more time with this audiobook.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Well written and sad comment on what still happens in our society. The story builds to an exciting finish.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book and I was so sad when it was over. The narraters were amazing! I never expected such twists and turns. The writing was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend it.
