About this audiobook
Arek didn’t think about what would happen after he fulfilled the prophecy. He’s officially King of Ere, but only Arek and his mage, the devastatingly handsome Matt, know that the role comes with a catch: marry by your eighteenth birthday – or die. Arek’s got three months to find his One True Love and save his own life. But things go painfully and hilariously wrong . . . until he discovers that love might have been right in front of him all along.
Funny, subversive, romantic fantasy from New York Times bestselling author F. T. Lukens. Look out for In Deeper Waters and Spell Bound.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5If you like Dungeons and Dragons, and romance tropes like friends to lovers, mutual pining and slow (painfully so!) burn, than this book is for you! A perfect depiction of awkward teenage romance and friendship, with a mostly queer found family. So heartwarming and cozy, it really makes a perfect fantast read (or listen) for everyone.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5My heart was played with, and I love it. I live for the "just talk dummies!" Trope. Made me smile and laugh many times, cry and fear at others! Great story imo ?
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It's not often you get a story set after the adventure. This is the second book by Lukens I've listened to and absolutely adore his writing. Through the entire book, I would break out in laughter and got strange looks at work. Not only are his descriptions absolutely spot on but his simalies are pure class. The trope of idiots in love (BFFs to lovers), is an age old one but Matt and Arek take it to a new level of dumbasses not talking. The found family was openly queer and accepting of each other in such a bright and wonderful way,,,I want more stories of the Realm of Air and and Kingdom of Chickpea!
