I have loved, to varying degrees, everything by Haley Cass but When You Least Expect It and this book, Better Than Expected, are probably my favorites. I love getting some of Hannah's perspective from the time that takes place in the first book and seeing what happens after. Hannah's fear and subsequential growth feel so real and relatable. Lori Prince, as usual does an amazing job with the narration. I honestly don't know how she does it. There are parts where she has to be crying in real life because you feel it so strongly.

It was good not great, for me. Timeline jumping is not my favorite format and distracts from the story.
