About this audiobook

Three women wake up to the consequences of one impulsive pact in an insightful novel about friendship, love, and fulfillment by Wall Street Journal bestselling author Jamie Beck.

While at a casino to celebrate her birthday, Jess Clarke proposes a pact to her reserved sister, Liz, and their childhood friend Chloe: the three women will say yes to any adventure that comes their way. Jess is mourning her recent divorce, so the other two reluctantly agree. Twelve hours later, they awaken to the shocking consequences of their behavior.

A viral video throws Liz’s career and reputation into question. A major loss at the craps table rocks the foundation of Chloe’s staid marriage. And Jess’s desperate bid to unblock her artistic creativity results in a life-changing choice. Staring down the crossroads, each woman finds her relationships—with herself, with each other, and with loves both old and new—tested. At every turn, they struggle not to let fear decide their fates. Will they give in, or will their misadventures lead to the greatest fulfillment of all?

What starts as a girls’ night out ends in life altering decisions for the women at the heart of this involving story of family, friendship and the faulty definition of freedom some seek within the confines of relationships. Two sisters and a friend are out celebrating and make a decision to just say yes to whatever crosses their paths. This leads to some excitement and some trouble for all three of them. After the fun is over they all have to live with the consequences of their actions. Will that result in positives or negatives? Well, you know I am not going to give any big secrets away!As you know I don’t read a lot of “girlfriend” books but now and again a synopsis will appeal and this one did. I was very glad I chose to dive in to this story because I found it to be a very intriguing concept for a book – what if stories always are. In this case the author present three strong women and yet they are also flawed so that makes them very, very human.Once I started I really did have a hard time putting it down and I found myself very involved in all of the lives of these three women. It was a tale about life, it’s ability to surprise and the way we all adapt to what it throws at us.

Three women have a girl's night out and deal with the aftermath. All three face consequences that seem bad at first, but through some soul searching find that perhaps what happened accidently could make their lives happier than they were before. I enjoyed this book, but have to say that even though I liked them, I didn't really personally connect with any of the characters. I think they were all brave in how they faced the changes in their lives however uncomfortable. I liked the writing and was able to follow as the story jumped back and forth between their different points of view. All in all, it was a good women's fiction novel and I will recommend to people I think would enjoy it. 3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. My sincere thanks to Montlake and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read The Happy Accidents and give my unbiased opinion of it.

One Night! Just one night, three friends go out to celebrate a birthday and their lives are charged. Jesse, the adventurous one, is at a crossroads. Liz, the proper one, a morning show host, has a seemingly perfect life. Chloe, the stay-at-home Mom, does something totally out of character! Now, all these women will have to live with the outcomes of this one night. I love a good Jamie Beck book, this one did not disappoint. A little slow at the beginning for me, but I enjoyed the story after I became totally immersed in each of the characters. This book gives equal time to each women’s plight, their friendship and their family dynamics. Loved the character development! A fun read with a satisfying ending! Thanks to Ms. Beck, Montlake Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC. Opinion is mine alone.
