About this audiobook
From beloved broadcaster Charles Osgood, a poignant memoir about one unforgettable childhood year during World War II.
Defending Baltimore Against Enemy Attack is a gloriously funny and nostalgic slice of American life and a moving look at World War II from the perspective of a child far away from the fighting, but very conscious of the reverberations. With a sharp eye for details, Osgood captures the texture of life in a bygone era.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Amusing recollections of the host of Sunday Morning.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Underwhelming. Contains a few recollections of actual moments from his life, sometimes even having something to do with the war or Baltimore. But it's mostly a meditation on how great it was to be a kid in 1942 and how the darn kids today suck.Large margins, large typeface, wide line spacing, only 160 pp. The jacket price is $19.95. Value is maybe a tenth of that.
