Out of the many, many JRPG / isekai genre that I've read (or more likely listened to), this is my favorite!

Story and character is promising, but terrible slow how it evolves and 60% of the time the character, spell, monster specs get explained up to the last comma digit.
This slows down the story and does not provide any value if repeated over and over again. I really was tempted to stop listening and simple move on to another book.

I also did not like the goods and “game system” voices. It was very hard to understand when voices have an echo.

Hopefully the next book focuses more on the story/content and less on game mechanics and numbers.

Verrrrry slow. Don't expect much to happen. Very dragged out.

It's a run up to a possibly good story. But it is terribly slow. No character interactions. Like listening to Arnold Rimmer describe his Risk-games. The narrators performance is horrible. He's really taken Captain Kirks speech pattern to heart. It gets old real fast.

A fascinating exploration adventure. Not a battle book. Really enjoyed
