About this audiobook
When the crew of the longship Varúlfr take refuge from a storm on a mysterious island, they are confronted by the relics of an ancient belief, and the remnants of a long forgotten civilisation. As the true horror of the island reveals itself, they're forced to wonder if they really have stumbled upon Hel's kingdom... or something worse. In The Bone Fields, Mitchell Lüthi paints a bloody picture of Vikings, the old faith, and the perils of the high seas.
Complete with accompanying sound effects and an original score by the author.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A Viking longship lands on an island only to find one of it's sister ships already docked and abandoned. A search for the missing crew reveals a cult worshipping an ancient but very much alive entity.
This was a short but gripping story and the audio effects add to the spiralling tensions. I do wish some characters could have been given more depth, like the wise Ove and the Christian slaves who were the only ones accurately sensing the danger. - Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Only loosely horror, narratively bland, zero payoff. Two stars because of some fun atmospheric audio.
