Killer story and steamy sexy scenes - but the male voice actor sounds WAYYY too old to play Fausto. Makes it creepy with such a younger sounding female doing Frankie's voice. Recast for a better experience as it ruins the book for me.

Giulio was my favorite character and I'm looking forward to more of his love life drama and the resolution of that whole cliffhanger ending.

I read this book after seeing a recommendation for it on a YouTube review however, I started to wonder whether the YouTuber read it on paperback rather than listened to it. It’s hard to imagine how much that would change my impression, but I can say that this audio version left much to be desired. This is my first time checking out a book by this author. I felt like the writing was a little rough and unpolished, especially in the descriptions of sexual encounters and body parts in general. I listened to this book on twice the speed and experimented with dropping it down to see if the male narrator was more appealing that way, but realized he wasn’t on either speed. I really tried to give this book a go, but after getting halfway through, it just didn’t have enough conflict and tension at the core of the plot to keep me interested as a reader, which is essential for any book or story. There just wasn’t enough here. I’m not sure if I will check out other books by this author.
