Originally from Edinburgh, Alison was educated in England, holding an MBA from Leicester University. She now lives in the US with her husband and dog. It was a great book - although a bit predictable - until the last chapter. I hate unnecessary sad endings.
I still don't know if the leading lady's name is Cassie or Kathy as the narrator used both.
