About this audiobook

‘An intensely dark thriller’ Ross Greenwood

When your whole life becomes one big lie…

The night my mum disappeared, after a panicked 3am phonecall, I knew something was wrong.

The police tried to reassure me. There had to be a logical explanation, they said – perhaps she’s taking a break after the tragic death of my father.

But I know my mum.

Or do I?

She would never leave without telling me.

Or would she?

The harder I look, the more I discover deep, dark family secrets I was not privy to. Worrying secrets I was never meant to know. Which means my parents have lied to me my whole life.

But why?

Who can I turn to? Trust?
Were they scared of something in their past?
Or were they trying to protect me?
Has Mum gone of her own free will?
Or has someone taken her?

Bestselling author Diane Saxon’s utterly compelling thriller will have you questioning who you can trust to keep your family safe.

Diane Saxon

Diane Saxon lives in the Shropshire countryside with her tall, dark, handsome husband, two gorgeous daughters, a Dalmatian, one-eyed kitten, ginger cat, four chickens and a gorgeous black Labrador puppy called Beau – a name she’s borrowed for her hero in For Heaven’s Cakes. After working for years in a demanding job, on-call and travelling great distances, Diane gave it all up when her husband said “follow that dream”.Having been hidden all too long, her characters have burst forth demanding plot lines of their own and she’s found the more she lets them, the more they’re inclined to run wild.

I’ve just found my new favorite author! I couldn’t stop listening to this book. It kept my interest from the start. Some of the characters I couldn’t tell if they were good or evil because of the twists. And the last 5 minutes of the book were a major WOW factor.

Wow! Talk about mixed emotions. I went from pity to hatred to dislike to pity between the 2 main characters(Sandra & Trevor) throughout the entire book. So many times while listening I was scaring the dogs with my outbursts.
So far my favorite Diane Saxon yet. (Out of 3) on to #4.
