About this audiobook
A simple mindset tweak will change your life.
It started with a midnight insight. After a fifteen-year nightmare of coping with his struggling business, Sam Carpenter discovered and then developed a simple methodology that knocked his routine 80-hour workweek down to zero, while multiplying his net income by a factor of 100. Now, in 2021, here’s his bestselling business book, revised yet again, showing how you too can instantly break free to build the business and life of your dreams.
In this fourth edition of Work the System, Carpenter reveals the profound insight and exact uncomplicated, mechanical steps he took to turn his business—and his life—around. Once you “get” this new vision, success and serenity will come quickly. You will learn to:
· Make a simple perception adjustment that will change your life forever.
· See your world as a logical collection of linear systems that you can control.
· Manage the systems that produce results in your business and your life.
· Stop fire killing and become a fire-control specialist.
· Maximize profit, create client loyalty, and develop enthusiastic employees.
· Identify insidious “errors of omission.”
· Maximize your biological and mechanical “prime time” so that you are working at optimum efficiency.
· Design the life you want—and then, in the real world, create it!
You can keep doing what you’ve always done and continue getting unsatisfactory results. Or you can find the peace and freedom you’ve always wanted by transforming your businesses or corporate department into a finely tuned machine that runs smoothly and profitably on autopilot.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I've learned absolutely nothing and i am 1 hour into the book. I haven't even been able to start the book yet. It's just incessant chatter. Skip To Chapter 4. Everything before that is him just talking to extend the book. No one cares about why this is the 4th edition.
He makes it an hour as if everyone reading is a long time fan. He needs to learn to get to the information not an hour about what the information is. What the information is, is actually what we want to hear. No wonder this book is so long. Remember, we have short attention spans now.
*You made the original in 2008 and now it's even longer. You're working backwards. Don't add more information, tighten up the current information and say it better.
I'll be back to edit my review if this book isn't actually this current rating. I dont like giving bad ratings but someone needs to see this to save their life an hour of time and help them get the information from this book (if its even useful) Me posting this review will probably actually help this book get good reviews if its actually good because everyone will skip to where the good stuff is. Good luck.4 people found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Listening to this book is a God send. Last Monday was my let go day, I let go of my job and am now making my own way, life! Listen to this book once, then listen to it again and have the physical book in hand and work the book, the system! That’s how I’m approaching this , listen to the book, read the book, work the book and work the system!
Super DavidScott! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing book, I start using some tools and make system for some home tasks that would have take me so much time before and now all it’s changed, I have more time for myself and I don’t stress on everything.
