About this audiobook

Dory Funk Jr. is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time and a member of the notorious Funk family of wrestlers from Amarillo, Texas . He is an icon in professional wrestling. He has been inducted into six Wrestling Halls of Fame and trained five WWE Hall of Famers and countless other professional wrestlers. This book is a true look at a long and storied career, with real tales from a World Heavyweight Champion. Dory defeated Gene Kiniski for the NWA World heavyweight title in 1969. Along the way, Dory wrestled too many wrestlers to count including Dusty Rhodes, Ric Flair, Sabu, The Giant Baba, Andre the Giant, Abdula the Butcher, Antonio Inoki, The Hulk, and a host of others. He defeated many opponents with his signature submission move - the Spinning Toe hold.

Dory and his brother Terry were popular here but legendary in Japan wrestling for All Japan Pro Wrestling.

Life on the road of the regional wrestling promotions was sometimes arduous but Dory and his fellow wrestlers had a great time.

Their stories are narrated by NWA world champion Steve Corino.
