1940, Nazi-occupied Paris. A powerful story of love, tragedy and incredible courage, about one woman whose life is ripped apart by war and risks everything to seek justice. Brand new from the bestselling author of The Resistance Girl.
As Nazis patrol the streets of the French capital, Tiena is alone, desperate and on the run. After defending herself against the force of an officer, she must find a new identity in order to survive.
An accidental meeting with members of the Resistance gives her a lifeline, as she is offered the chance to reinvent herself as perfumer Angéline De Cadieux.
However Angéline will never forget what happened to her, and will do everything she can to seek revenge. But vengeance can be a dangerous game, and Angeline can only hide her true identity for so long before her past catches up with her, with some devastating consequences...
Paris, 2003. When the opportunity arises for aspiring journalist Emma Keane to interview world renowned perfumer Madame De Cadieux about her life during World War Two, she is determined to take it. There are secrets from her own family history that she hopes Angéline may be able to help unlock.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5It speaks the true history of WWII…I loved it. Read it …you will learn a lot about that time and how courage, strength and faith kept these people alive.God save us all that it never happens again.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book was well made. One of Jina Bacarr's best writings, I didn't enjoy The Orphans of Berlin, so I thought I give another one of her books a try, and I was pleasantly surprised. This book is touching near the end, and the characters are well-made. In the beginning, I was a bit hesitant because of all the really quick crazy stuff with the SS officer and her stepdad, but when it got to the middle, and end it was nice. Well done Jina Bacarr! :D

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5It’s a false tale!! Anyone who has done any research on the Holocaust will find it was a lie!! Anne Frank was pure fiction, the “concentration camps” were for isolating the sick, when a similar “Pandemic” was concocted in late 1930’s Germany, same as what is happening now.
6M Jews weren’t exterminated!! 200-250,000 old, sick and infirm died from illness in the camps!!
Once you find out that we have been LIED to about EVERYTHING, you’ll start doing research and uncover so many massive deceptions!
