Rita Bradshaw was born in Northamptonshire, where she lives today. At the age of sixteen she met her husband – whom she considers her soulmate – and they have two daughters, a son and six grandchildren. I thought this book would never end it's not a happy or an intriguing story it just went on and on for sooo long I lose interest the main characters have no chemistry between them by the time the war came around I was done I didn't like this one too much the narrator make some characters sounds like Disney cartoons
