What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a powerful, inspiring, and word-saturated book that explains the war being waged against women and how they can rise and be on the offense. It emphasizes the importance of using their God-given authority to fight against evil. While some reviewers found the information repetitive, overall, the book is highly recommended for every woman.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the book.
Thank you for all the teaching. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Worldwide, women are the targets of prejudice, sex trafficking, abuse, and gendercide. A spiritual enemy is seeking to disarm women on every level. Lisa Bevere explains how the Word of God is a sword that should be both studied and wielded. If there ever was a time for women to be armed, it?s now. (taken from the book cover)As I was reading Girls with Swords, I loved the author?s use of imagery of the sword and translating God?s word as the protection of women. The sword resembles the cross and the power Jesus gave us when he died on the cross for our sins so that we may live. We have the power to draw our sword by the words we choose to speak. As Christian women, we speak as ambassadors of faith, hope and love. Words are invisible but can also be harmful if misused.I highly recommend this book for all women to fully understand the power we are given with the word of God. Your prayers to our Heavenly Father can direct your path so that your word will create an environment that encourages others to flourish.Helen Davison
