About this audiobook

Millions are satisfied to sit through hour-long, weekly religious services. Millions more have left the church, brokenhearted and cynical. But God is waking up His people—people who will risk everything and sacrifice anything to become the dynamic, powerful Church seen in Scripture.

We Are Church calls Christ-followers, young and old, to hold fast to their biblical roots while seeking radical change. Scripture promises an exuberant and unstoppable Church. That wondrous early church of Acts can be our reality today—but not until we devote ourselves to her original priorities.

Read this book and be challenged, guided, and encouraged to passionately pursue God’s magnificent and beautiful vision for His Church. Come and claim your part in this body of believers that is not just possible—it’s promised.

This is everything, i have always sought the church to be and i have hopped from church to church looking for it. I got baptized into ICOC. It was the frist Group of people that looked like and taught like the first Church. I was Grateful for the understanding and for God Grace and timing, because i had been prayer for Years to find those who love him IN TRUTH AND SPIRIT. These people are rare, but i am overwhelmingly Thankful for God Guiding me and this book is so right and on point and at times hard to take because of the truth. But I'd rather hear and have a hard truth that leads to repeating than a nice, soft, sugar coated lie that leads to spiritually death.

This book excites and challenges me. It excites because church really can look like what we read about in Acts, and God wants it to look that way. A family characterized by supernatural love, where everyone uses their God given gifts to make disciples. It challenges me because I’ve grown comfortable in a church model that is nothing like that. This book helped remove my blinders, convict me, and encourage me to help make church the beautiful bride Jesus desires. This book is for those humble enough to challenge the way church is thought of here in the United States. Highly recommend it.

Fresh insight to what seems to be an age old problem in the church of America. Very convicting regarding humility: it is something I should strive for and for which I should ask the Lord. There are some phenomenal church leaders out there. But I do challenge them to consider whether or not status quo is working.

Fantastic book. Francis chan is humble but truthful. Inspiring and challenging. Scripture based book and example led. He admits his failings in the past and empowers the insignificant in the heirarchy of the church to be inspired to change and be active in the church body of Christ. Worth listening to again.

This is an excellent book, it isn't your average Christian book, it really talks about issues that we need to consider in how we function as a church. This book is mostly geared towards pastors, but also wonderful points to consider and pray about for everyone.

This book will challenge you to rethink the way many Americans approach church in a consumerism mindset. The author is humble in his truth speaking, not intending to criticize or give us permission to criticize pastors and church staff. The Bible is clear that every believer is responsible for making disciples. Prepare to rethink everything you thought you knew.

JFK had a famous quote which asked the American people to reconsider what they were able to give to their country instead of demanding that the country give to them. I think this book asks the same of Christians, to reconsider their attitude toward church and recommit to New Testament principles we see lived out in the Acts of the Apostles instead of being perpetrating the American consumerism mindset
