What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a thoroughly enjoyable listen with likable characters and a good mystery. The old fashioned setting adds to the charm. While some may find the hyperventilating romantic subplots a bit much, overall the book is quite good and easy to weather. It's a nice book to read in the evening to relax after work, although the abundance of characters can be a bit confusing at times.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Classic golden age English mystery which is an acquired taste and requires a lower gear to properly enjoy. This novel complies with all conventions including hyperventilating romantic subplots. Skip chapter 9 if you want to avoid the worst of this. Otherwise quite good and easy to weather.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I think this is nice book to read in the evening to relax after work, nothing too serious or exciting. The only problem for me was that there was so many people and some names got mixed in my mind.
