Murder is no game...
When an intruder ends John and Caroline Coates hopes and dreams, John turns to the Connection Agency seeking justice for what happened five years ago.
In the past, Tessa's pursuit of the truth had been abruptly halted by the cold case division. Reunited with Luke and assisted by DI Eileen Haughton, an old colleague from Tessa's police years, they delve deep into the sinister world of the unseen enemy.
But as the trio inches closer, they unearth revelations that are darker than they anticipated. Will the truth offer the Coateses closure, or will it plunge them further into a nightmare?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is the second book in the series and it is better to read the books in sequence for the stories to have continuity and make sense. Some unresolved developments in “Blood Red” are resolved here. As in the first book, there are a few cases being investigated at the same time. There is also a lot about the private lives of the Connection agency staff, and there are many sections where nothing in relation to the cases or crimes really happens, and revolve around domestic routine and love affairs moving forward. For those who have read the Kat & Mouse series, and know the major characters, there is a sad ending. The major mystery and murder plot is quite interesting.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I admire the writing style of the author. The Connections series is interesting. In this Code Blue the couple who were victims of a crime in many parts 5 years past never admit their role in the crime. The husband owns a security firm which gives him insights into when to be complicit during the crime and when it's dodgy. His wife should have known as well. The description of the perpetrator does not hold up to this couple going along with the first part....wasn't believable. The 2nd part of the crime, the wife isn't credible as she believes her life is worth a small amount of money. All isn't what security minded people are to do. Why I only gave 4 stars.
