it’s a great spy thriller and a great romance and Simone is an amazing writer. Her easter eggs are good. My issue with her books is the same as it always is - that her characters ramble repeatedly and it gets boring.
Her love of words is both gratifying and annoying because I learned some amazing new words, but I’m often having to reach for dictionary during the middle of a sentence.
Her portrayal of human emotion and angst is the best I’ve ever read. Wow.

I found it difficult to get into early on. It did grab my attention close to halfway through and I ended up finishing. I am eager to read the next book but I honestly hope the beginning will be a little more interesting.
