    This essay sheds light on what is MGTOW, explicates why certain men are following the MGTOW lifestyle, and expounds upon the problems with following the MGTOW lifestyle. Albeit enigmatic to most people, MGTOW is an acronym that stands for “Men Going Their Own Way” and is a lifestyle that is an aberrant lifestyle for men to follow since it is the antithesis of a traditional lifestyle which most men have followed in the past decades as of March of 2021. MGTOW is also a movement in which men choose to not prioritize attempting to assuage the needs of a woman above attempting to assuage their own needs. Men who follow the MGTOW lifestyle will not entertain the prospect of getting married. Men who follow the MGTOW lifestyle are also often reticent about forming a long-term relationship with a woman in the dating market since they staunchly believe that forming a long term relationship with a woman in the dating market will not yield them any benefits in the long haul. At any given moment, on a whim, a woman can unwarrantedly file for divorce against her husband without cause which is unvindicated. If a woman decides to unwarrantedly file for divorce against her husband without cause, then it could possibly culminate in a man paying lifetime alimony payments for decades on end. If a woman decides to unwarrantedly file for divorce against her husband without cause, then it could also possibly culminate in a man paying a sizeable divorce settlement. A marital relationship between a husband and wife should be sustained for the lifetime of the spouse. The covenant of marriage should always be upheld and should never be encroached on. Men who follow the MGTOW lifestyle by not entering the dating market, by not forming a long-term relationship with a woman, by not getting married, and by remaining celibate throughout the entirety of their lifetime circumvent the risk of having a woman unwarrantedly file for divorce against them without cause.
