This book is chalked full of examples, visuals, and information regarding the human body. IN this book we read about the students taking a trip on The Magic School Bus to the inside of the human body. This would be a great book to use in parts as you discussed the different systems and their functions in the body. At times this series can appear overwhelming to the reader, however, I believe that it could be spaced out appropriately for student's needs and learning.

I really enjoyed this book and I remember reading it as a kid. This book introduced the human body parts and processes like digestion, the heart, lungs etc. in a fun and engaging way for students. The plot is goofy because they get swallowed by their classmate but along the way the reader is learning about the human body. The language is very descriptive and on the sides of the page is student's answers to questions and it gives the readers fun facts about the human body. The characters are well developed because the teacher Ms. Frizzle is known as "crazy" and always gets them into something strange. The big idea of this story is to inform the reader about the human body in the form of an engaging story that is easy to follow

This whole collection is a household favorite. Our 7 year-old son really enjoys the books & DVD's! Fun way of presenting a lot of scientific information for young kids. Miss Frizzle is always wearing a wild outfit to go along with their wild adventures in the magical school bus that can somehow transform into about anything. This ride was through the human body, Arnold's, to be a little more specific. Gotta look out for what might be eaten along with the bag of "Cheezy Weezies"! A fun book for a science and/or health class:)

The book, “The Magic School Bus: Inside the Human Body”, was my favorite book in the entire series. I have read this book countless times! This book is very informational but I never found it to be overwhelming. I enjoyed reading this book for many reasons. I loved how the characters within the book have speech bubbles and thinking bubbles to show what the person is saying or thinking. An example of this is seen on a page with Ms. Frizzle and Arnold. Ms. Frizzle is saying to Arnold, “Your cells need energy to help you grow, move, talk, think, and play.” Arnold has a thinking bubble that states, “Just being in Ms. Frizzle’s class takes all my energy.” I found these text features to be very helpful. The next reason I enjoyed reading this book is because of the wonderful, detailed pictures. The illustrator creates detailed pictures by using a pen and watercolors. For example, on one page, the author describes what the hearts does and the illustrator creates what anatomically correct heart looks like. The illustrator uses arrows to help convey which way the blood is flowing and into which chamber the blood flows through. I found the arrows to be beneficial to the reader because the images make the text easier to understand. The main idea of this story is to inform readers of the many important responsibilities the body and organs have to support life.

Mrs. Fizzle and her class go on another adventure to the human body. They enter through the nose of a student named Arnold, they learn about the different parts of the human body and once it is done they exit through the nose when Arnold sneezes.

Personal Reaction: I think this book is awesome and filled with a bunch of imagination. This would be a great book for kids to learn that they can be creative and think outside of the box even if it is not practical.

Classroom Extension: A introduction to learn about the Human Body, they kids could discuss what their favorite body part is in a journal.

I think this is a great book to teach slightly older kids about the human body and biology, in general. I think I agree with the other reviewer about the film quality being superior. I grew up on the books, but I think the films simply told the stories the way the author wanted the books to be told.

This book involves Ms. Frizzle and her class traveling through the human body and learning about its different parts and functions. This is an informational text that would be great to use during a science lesson on the body. The book gives a fictional story along with actual scientific information. It would also be a great book to help teach students how to read the text features of informational texts. I love this series of books and think this is a fun book for children to read and learn from.

They learn all of the body parts and how they work while they are inside of him. This book can help students with imagination, and is a fun way of teaching them about the human body.

Review: This is a great example of science fiction because it takes place somewhere that you cant actually go. The technology that Mrs. Frizzle uses to go into Arnold's body does not actually exist today. As the class takes a field trip through the human body they learn a vast amount about how the body works and the various parts. Since there is information that is actually teaching the students about the body it is also considered and informational text.
Point of View: This book is told in 3rd person omniscient. We know what Mrs. Frizzle, Arnold and all of the students are thinking all of the time. Unlike other texts were the thoughts are in the main text, this book gives each person a thought bubble as they are going through the human body. This helps to keep the reader interested but also learning about the information that is being presented.

In this book Ms. Frizzle takes her students on a trip inside the human body. One of th most fascinating parts is that the body they enter is someone from their own classroom! Ms. Frizzle and the class learns all about the human body and how it works as well as the anatomy of the body. Good to have for science lessons to connect to.

The magic school bus’ trip into the human body reveals facts about it but it is impossible for a bus full of children to shrink and travel inside the body. The Magic School Bus series is a information fictional book. Every book is filled with information on the topic. Not only are the words descriptive but the pictures illustrate and show maps of the topic. For instance, in this book the students make comments about the organs and have educational information in it.
The illustrations are not as artistica as they are accurate. The models in the classroom, the outrifts Ms. Frizzel wears all contribute to the topic they are studying. This focuses the reader on one topic and allows their eyes to wonder around the page.

I liked this book it had alot of information. It was very interesting. I liked it a lot.

The students could watch the movie version. And then discuss which body system is their favorite and do a project on it.

I liked this book, I always loved watching "The Magic School Bus" on the tv when I was in elementary school.

I would read this book while we are studying the human body. The students can use this book to do research on different organs in the body, tell what our Red Blood Cell do, and much more.

A crazy teacher named Ms. Frizzle takes her class on a wild adventure to the inside of a classmate's body. Inside the students learn about the digestive system and blood cells.
This book is exellent for a classroom who is learning about the human body. A teacher could read this book before teaching a unit on the digestive system and then go into further detail that the book covered.
This book is a fantasy because nothing in this book could physically happen, although the facts about the human body are realistic. This book could also been an informational book since they are explaining about the body.
The setting in this book is necessary for this story because it is all about the human body and the setting actually takes place inside the human body. The setting couldn't be any better.
