She does not have any literary accolades or university degrees to boast, but having spent so much of her service writing police statements, says she has in many ways been a ghost writer to victims and witnesses of crime. Having lived through some challenging life experiences, she decided the time had come to write a story of her own. Although this, her first novel, is written in the style of an autobiography, the author is not claiming it is factual. She suggests it may be based on some real life events, but it is for the reader to decide for themselves what is fact or fiction, if some, all or any.
