After teaching art at the secondary level and at a teacher training college, she operated an advertising business for seventeen years. Ruth and her husband have traveled abroad independently, by bicycle, motorcycle, and camper. They have also served in the Peace Corps and hosted visitors from eighteen nations. Ruth’s series of creative children’s booklets, which comprise part of Reading is Fun! Imagine That!, have received enthusiastic endorsements from students and educators in five nations.
