Martha's narrative storytelling interweaves her fascination with the mysterious nature of life, her deep roots in her Shona culture, and her curiosity in the cultures of people she has met as she has travelled and lived in different parts of the world. Martha earned a PhD degree from Cambridge University in England and then worked in the biotechnology industry in the United States for many years. She currently volunteers for Munhu Inc., a US-registered 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to helping orphaned children in rural areas of her native land of Zimbabwe. Her writing and charitable work give her the opportunity to combine her two passions of telling stories and serving others. Martha is donating a portion of sales of this book to Munhu Inc. She resides in Thousand Oaks, California.view less
