In 2009, he received his Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, from Winston Salem State University in Winston Salem, North Carolina. While matriculating through WSSU, Walker involved himself in numerous community and fraternal organizations, aimed at bettering his community through awareness and education. The deciding factors for Walker to write this book was the current state of African-American culture, advice from a loved one, and the positive influence of a Professor during his senior year.
