She has three grown children and four grandchildren. She presently resides in Greenville, North Carolina, and enjoys studying women of the Bible.

FRANK FERNANDEZ is an illustrator who is proud to be involved in bringing The Pickle to life. After many years of graphic design, he became a stay-at-home dad, an assistant Cub Scout Leader, and a substitute teacher. All together these experiences brought him to his first children’s book, Run and Catch your Dream, which is what Frank is currently doing as he begins the process of creating his first graphic novel. Frank is currently a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
