He has been a pastor, teacher, and leader in Baptist churches for over 35 years. He is currently a Bible teacher at the Pomona First Baptist Church in Pomona, California.
He received his M. Div. degree from Golden Gate Southern Baptist Seminary in Mill Valley, California; the Th.M. degree in Old Testament from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky; and attended Ph.D. seminars in Hebrew Bible at Claremont Graduate School in Claremont, California.
Ernest (Ernie) Dean is the author of the Mormonism section of the book. He was raised by a Mormon mother, was a member of the Church for 18 years, and was married as a Temple Worthy Elder in the Salt Lake City Mormon Temple. He later trained Mormon missionaries in Alaska for several years in doctrine and theology.
He was excommunicated from the LDS Church in 1982 after becoming a “born-again” Christian, and founded the Anchorage Alaska chapter of “Ex-Mormons for Jesus.” Ernie is currently practicing Law in Pasadena, California and is an active member of the Pomona First Baptist Church in Pomona, California.view less
