He is the Fellow of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FNAAS), Fellow of National Academy of Biological Sciences (FNABS), Bridge Fellow, Government of Japan. He is the recipient of Sir C.V. Raman Young Scientist State Award by Chief Minister of Karnataka. He was awarded visiting Professorship by Yamaguchi University, Japan and Nanjing Agricultural University, China. He joined as Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, Central University of Kerala in 2022.
