She loves a good mystery, although like her character, Tru, she didn't have the wherewithal to know how to begin unraveling the clues in the beautiful things she found. Time and experience are valuable commodities to a treasure hunter! Eventually she knew what books to look in, which auction houses would provide some advice, how to approach antiques dealers (just ask them a good question, they LOVE people who are interested in what they sell), and most importantly, learned the confidence of how to bargain effectively and politely (a must). Ellie is big fan of GIRLS, Modern Family, and Portlandia -- quirky, smart writing is her prerequisite for funny. Ellie has written for television and radio, is a freelance writer, loves Pilates, and her big happy family.
