He spent three years in the inner city of Nashville, Tennessee, counseling crack addicts, and is a frequent conference speaker. He holds a bachelor’s of science in psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and a master of fine arts in creative writing from Queens University of Charlotte. He also studied at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.view less
