She has co-authored a number of papers in scientific journals, including Nature. Annegret has always been fascinated by early colonial history, and since her retirement has researched original sources about convicts transported to Australia. This has led her to question a number of the widely-accepted views on poor convict behavior conveyed by early histories of the First Fleet.view less
