I had an idyllic childhood, growing up in a place where one could explore the bush and enjoy its wonders, from which was born a love of wildlife, nature and the local African people. After leaving the army, I moved to the UK, where I met my wife.
Following a career in sales, we moved to North Norfolk, where I used to paint in my spare time, often pictures of wildlife and the Norfolk coast. The year 2000 saw us move to Spain with a plan to retire. Whilst renovating our own finca in Leiva, on the Costa Calida, I had the first heart attack, which ultimately led the transplant on February 14th 20007.view less
