Originally forged in Texarkana, Texas, Dr. Stephen Smith has been the subject of numerous and necessary modifications in the states of Texas, Alaska and Colorado and now uncomfortably resides in his hometown of San Angelo, Texas. He’s liberal and most of his neighbors are not, so he’s just one John Birch Society meeting away from being tarred and feathered. Despite several futile attempts to flunk out of medical school, he finally caved and went with the flock in obtaining his medical degree. After completing an Internal Medicine Residency at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas, where he served as chief resident, he and his family were moved to San Angelo at the request of all fundamental, right wing tight-asses that lived along the I-35 corridor in central Texas. His wife of 22 years, Paige, is a true saint and mighty fine English riding instructor. They have two beautiful children named Graham and Abigail, and they have both blossomed in spite of their flaky father.view less
