He was educated at Bensonvale Missionary Institution, Khanyeng and Tiisetsang High School in Bethlehem. He completed his BA Social Sciences (History & Anthropology) at The University of Fort Hare in 1979 and Higher Education Diploma at the University of the Free State in 1982. He taught History in High School, College of Education and part time at what is now the University of the Free State. History as a subject is his passion and he strongly believes in using it to address today’s challenges. He is a lay preacher of the Methodist Church of Southern Africa and a Young Men’s Guilt member.
