I have been writing poetry s...view moreDebbie Marie Abrom, Born and raised in Hartford, CT. I am a single mother and College Student also a full time employee of a CT based Security Service. I have been writing poetry since 1997 when I lost my Aunt to gang violence. I never wrote to be an author and never felt like a poet, I simply wrote to put my thoughts on paper good bad and ugly. Thought flowed freely from my mind on to paper turning into poetry. 2009 I enter a contest; I did not win but I got a chance to get one of my poems published in a book called the Wishing Well :Awakenings , blessed with this honor I thought I should do something my poems and write a book the whole world can relate to.view less
