April’s stories are dark, psychological and deal with some very significant problems that the protagonist/ antagonist must deal with. April creates a protagonist/ antagonist that is realistic and flawed. Often dealing with corruption, love, sex, hate, and emotional dysfunction, April’s characters do not always find all the answers they are looking for. Likewise, the people in April’s books do not always win and do not necessarily live happily ever after.view less
