She is guided by a single commandment in her heart: “Be compassionate to create a difference in the world.” She firmly believes that “to teach is to touch a life forever.” As an educator, Aashna finds herself guided by Benjamin Franklin’s famous quote, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” She does not consider her students to be passive recipients of information; rather, students are valued, listened to, and their queries and opinions respected and encouraged. She believes in inspiring students, helping gain insight, and developing a love for learning. Her job as a teacher does not limit her to help the students merely score good grades but prepare them to succeed in all walks of life. For her, the role of the teacher transcends to become a mentor and a counselor.
