He previously served for 16 years as a senior scientist and the Head of Endocrinology in the Research Department at the San Diego Zoo. Dr. Lance received his master's degree in biology from the College of William and Mary, Virgina, USA, and later his PhD in zoology from the University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He has conducted decades of research on reproductive biology, specifically on the physiology and endocrinology of reptiles such as crocodiles, alligators, and turtle species. He currently serves as Vice Chairman for Science for the Crocodile Specialist Group of SSC/IUCN and Advisor to the Crocodilian Advisory Group (TAG) of the AAZPA.view less
