After a BA in history from Melbourne University, she studied Psychology in London and started her career within the community social and health sector in the UK followed by a decade in northern Canada. She returned to Australia in the 1980's with her young daughter, resolved to settle, only to fall in love with an English cousin and be caught up again in the patterns of hemispherical swing. She now divides her year between Goolwa in South Australia where the River Murray meets the Southern Ocean, and Sheffield in a Yorkshire valley rising up to the moors.view less
